Senator Godiya Akwashiki has reportedly distributed four(4) trailer-load of rice worth millions of naira to his constituents in the spirit of Christmas.
Akwashiki who represents Nasarawa North District in the 10th Nigerian Senate said the gesture was to improve on the standard of living of his constituents during and after Christmas celebration.
The Lawmaker who cautioned beneficiaries against selling the rice assured constituents of a sound and quality representation that would address the myriad of challenges bedeviling the district.
Akwashiki who is currently serving a second-term on the platform of the Social Democratic Party(SDP) urged Christians and other Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, progress and development of the country.
He was first elected to the Senate in 2019 on the platform of the governing All Progressives Congress(APC).
