The senator who represented the Kwara South Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Rafiu Ibrahim is dead.
The death of the former chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, was confirmed in the early hours of Wednesday..
Sources close to the Olusola Saraki’s political dynasty in Kwara State, told The Blow on Wednesday that the late senator had been sick since late last year but that the sickness was kept from the public.
He was said to have breathed his last at an Abuja hospital.
Details of the ailment he suffered from were not yet available to the public but it was learnt that his remains would be buried today (Wednesday) in his Ojoku country home according to Islamic rites.
