Former vice chancellor, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Prof Femi Mimiko, has joined millions of well wishers to congratulate his beloved brother, a former governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, held on Thursday.
The professor in a piece copied on his verified Facebook page, described the astute politician and medical professional as an icon and a man of conviction.
He wrote, “We celebrate today an icon, a man of conviction, who not only espouses a strong social democratic conviction, but actually lives it; a man who is wont to put others above self; and lead by sheer force of personal example rather than mere precepts. We are talking here of someone whose life is steeped in immense personal discipline; who harbours no guile, but radiates love at all times.
“To Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Medical Practitioner, and community leader; two-term Commissioner for Health, in Ondo State; former Secretary to the Ondo State Government; erstwhile Minister of Housing and Urban Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; and two-term Governor of Ondo State, we say, Happy 70th Birthday anniversary!
